What do you do at work?

– I lead the operational work for the payroll group. My job is to create conditions for my employees so that they feel good and do an excellent job. We are 23 employees today. The most enjoyable part of my job is group development as well as developing our current processes. We work a lot with knowledge transfer within the group. In ten years, we have increased by ten employees, and now we suddenly have a large group. Therefore, we are looking for another department manager to lead the group together! Meanwhile, we maintain a great atmosphere with good cohesion.

Describe what it's like to work at Axfood SSC?

– I enjoy it a lot. Axfood SSC is a really good workplace - otherwise, I wouldn't have stayed here for so many years. It's a lovely and inclusive environment. We have fun at work, with lovely colleagues and strong cohesion. We also talk a lot about how to maintain what is good - how we should treat each other, issues regarding the work environment, and more.

Even the Axfood Group as a whole is a good employer. I'm proud of the values and culture. Equal value for all and the importance of inclusion and diversity are consistent. And that we stand up for the environment and society. Just consider something like being one of Samhall's largest clients. There's much to be proud of!

What is it like to work within a corporation?

– It's exciting because new things are constantly happening, and we're growing. When I started, Willys had about 25 stores - now it's well over 200! For us in payroll, this means that we need to work with different agreements in detail, warehousing, e-commerce, transport, and two white-collar worker agreements. We also have about 40 external customers, mostly retailers, who buy our service.

What has kept you here for so long in the same workplace?

– I feel like I'm constantly developing - together with fantastic colleagues. There's continuous development on various fronts - right now, we're preparing for Citygross to become a new customer. I enjoy my job, simple as that.

What's the most enjoyable part of your job?

– We have a very open and accommodating climate. It might sound like a cliché, but we genuinely have fun together. It's safe and devoid of pretension, and no one hesitates to ask for help or to help others."

What would you say to a candidate interested in joining Axfood SSC?

– I would say welcome! It's a fantastic workplace, with lovely colleagues. You feel welcome from the very beginning, and there are many development opportunities. In my department, you can come and learn everything about payroll from scratch. We handle payroll from start to finish, and we also have specialist areas in payroll with increased responsibilities.

Finally, what's your favorite dish?

– Sushi!
