Payments and financial services are strategically important areas for Axfood. New services create opportunities to enhance the customer offering and increase loyalty. Now, Axfood is taking the next step in this field.

Now, we are gathering expertise in the development of financial services within the Axfood Group. We look forward to taking further steps in an area where a lot is happening and where we will see new customer values emerge," says Frida Ridderstolpe, Head of Digital Development and E-commerce at Axfood.
Axfood is now taking the next step in this exciting area by taking over a team from Axel Johnson that has been working on financial services under the name Humla in recent years. The team will accelerate the development of payments and financial services and has developed a technology based on close collaboration with SEB Embedded. The focus going forward is to strengthen Axfood's existing customer offerings.
The new team is joining Axfood as of 1 June.
